About the Author

Jeffrey Lovelace is a debut fantasy author, a School Psychologist, and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in Ridgefield, Connecticut. In 2025, he was honored as Ridgefield Public Schools Teacher of the Year for his creativity, commitment to students, and ability to bring people together. For more than eighteen years, Jeffrey has worked in public education, supporting children and families in building resilience, navigating challenges, and discovering their strengths—experiences that deeply influence the characters and themes in his writing.
Jeffrey’s love of storytelling began in childhood, when his mother read him Greek and Roman myths instead of Mother Goose, and Arthurian legends rather than alphabet books. That early spark of imagination grew into a lifelong love of fantasy, inspired by the worlds of Tolkien, Lewis, Martin, and Lucas. Drawing from these influences, he began creating the saga of Willow’s Rain more than a decade ago, weaving together myth, adventure, and psychological depth into a sweeping story for young readers and families.
The magical world of Noleva—its hills, forests, and shores—is rooted in Jeffrey’s New England upbringing, from the farmlands of South Hadley, Massachusetts, to the woods and streambeds of Newtown, Connecticut. His fascination with the ocean and its unpredictable adventure also shapes the saga’s landscapes.
What began as a personal project for his two daughters—so they could have a fantasy world of their own—has grown into a rich, multifaceted creative endeavor. From writing to AI-assisted art design, professional editing, and audio recording, Jeffrey’s work on Willow’s Rain reflects both dedication and joy. Whether in the classroom, at home with his family, or at the writing desk, Jeffrey remains guided by a belief in resilience, imagination, and the power of stories to bring people together.
